DDS is a small family business that prides itself on delivering quality diesel engine re builds at the right price. We do all makes and models but specialize in the Detroit Diesel 2 Stroke variety. Owner/Operator Geoff Slapp was trained in the 1980's at Detroit Engine & Turbine Co. Bassendean workshops W.A. The 80's were the "Heyday" for the "screaming Jimmy" as a marine power plant and Detroit had 90 % of the market back then. I was lucky enough to be trained by some of the foremost Detroit fitters in Australia, we were developing these marine engines and teaching the Yanks a thing or two... in the field! After working Marine field service For DETCO for a number of years, I left and gained more experience on everything from CAT, Cummins, M.A.N, Volvo, Perkins, Yanmar... this list goes on... I pride myself on supplying an honest, fair, service to my customers and to me it doesn't feel like work. I love my job, and love helping people with engine problems...
